One can go an entire lifetime without ever being call upon to make a difference. Then arbitrarily the arc of history reaches out and touches one man. How that one person responds to the call of history may determine the fate of a nation or maybe even the world.
The arc of history is reaching out right now and it’s target is none other than our own Attorney General Merrick Garland. He and he alone can make the decision that determines the course of the nation. Our legislative branch is hopelessly gridlock by a partisan war for control. Our judiciary branch is occupied by partisan hacks who are consumed with finding ways to legitimize a right wing agenda. Then we have Merrick Garland at the justice department.
Attorney General Garland must decide what is most important. Upholding the principle that no man is above the law or giving a renegade former President the protection that has always prevented the nation from criminally prosecuting a former President.
Trump is betting that Garland will not have the courage to come after him. He’s betting that his bluster and the threat of civil unrest will be enough to cower Garland. If he’s right this nation will crumble. Just like the crumbling of the Iron Curtain we will crumble.
Time is not on our side. I’ve never practiced criminal law, but I do know what a statement against interest is. Trumps comments at his recent rallies have been statements against interest. In many respects they rise to a personal admission of criminal activity. Trump is daring AG Garland to do something. Not doing anything will further embolden Trump and his minions. AG Garland the arc of history is touching you. What will you do?

Great Comments Bill… I’ve been wondering the same thing! What the hell is taking the DOJ (aka, AG Garland) so long to Indict the orange turd! Hopefully, the delay is only due to an abundance of caution that they want to make sure it STICKS!
I send demands for action at least weekly to the DOJ (and the AG) at:
