Tomorrow we celebrate the fourth of July. Americas birthday and celebration of independence. It may very well be the last celebration of Independence as we know it.
Since Jan 20th of 2017 there has been a concerted attack on what we would define as normalcy in America. We have bore witness to a slow but steady erosion of boundaries and safeguards.
We have watched with helplessness as political competence was replaced by a cabal of #BunkerbitchakaDJT’s sycophants driven to do his bidding. In a 120 days we will see the culmination of this systematic dismantling of America.
America is facing the worst health crisis since the pandemic of 1918. The worst economic crisis since the crash of 1929. A tattered foriegn policy all driven by the incompetence of #BunkerbitchakaDJT. On November 3rd those that have been holding out hope that the election will remedy our problem will see with their own eyes that inaction was not the answer to craven incompetence. We will not have a free and fair election.
#BunkerbitchakaDJT has no intention of surrendering power. #BillBarrthefixer was selected as Attorney General to help the Trump secure his control of the government and the political process. #MoscowMitch and the Republican Senators will go along with the great fix because they are more concerned with maintaining power than they are with maintaining a democratic republic.
#BillBarrthefixer has been very busy building the case for negating a lawful election. What few of us understand is that the foundation of our Republic was never perfect. It relied on the moral conscience of our leadership to protect the security of the nation. #BunkerbitchakaDJT has no such morality. The oath of office meant nothing to him. #BillBarrthefixer will assist Trump in using archaic Presidential powers to use both the pandemic and the economic crisis to declare a national emergency requiring the extension of the Trump Presidency.
You may be reading this and saying to yourself that it can not happen here. American arrogance got us here. We thought that we were above the machinations of a despot. We told ourselves that our laws were sacrosanct and that they would act as a fail safe. We were wrong. We over estimated our safeguards and under estimated what a truly lawless leader could accomplish.
The enemy walks among us and we wait for a crippled system to save us. For those that ask what damage he could do in a hundred and twenty days look at the growing cases of COVID-19. Look at his calling the Russia bounty a hoax. Look at the racial division he is feeding is doing to the fabric of America. One hundred and twenty days could result in far more damage than you could ever imagine.
We are not unique. We have the same issues and weaknesses that every other nation has. Allow me to leave you with on thought. The political landscape of 1933 Germany was altered dramatically between February and June. The German people didn’t think it could happen to them either.
