I’m finding myself in a constant state of anger. I know that this can not be good but such is my plight. Friday was particularly difficult for me. I find myself wondering what happened to critical thinking in this country.
I ask myself why are people so easily distracted from rhe truth. Last week the House of Representatives pased the Hero’s bill. The purpose for that bill is to fix many of the gaps left open by the Cares Act. Many of the provisions that the progressive wing of the house attempted to incorporate in the Hero’s Bill were either cut completely or significantly watered down. Even with the cuts and removal of significant provisions #MoscowMitch and #DearLeader announce that the bill would be dead on arrival in the Senate.
While #MoscowMitch was busy this week tearing down the Hero’s Bill he wasted no time in working to further pack the federal judiciary with conservative right leaning judges. Eight new judges were rushed through the confirmation process. The same behaviors that we see regarding our Federal judiciary were used in 1933 Germany to fill the courts with judges that were willing to bend to will of an authoritarian leader.
Now when things like this are happening the bad actors need to find away to distract you from what’s really happening. So they do things. Things like releasing Manafort to house arrest. Things like throwing a crimb to black people by releasing Kwame Kilpatrick to house arrest. People talking about organizing a party to celebrate Kwame’s release makes me know we have much work to do.
Things like trying to make something out of nothing like Obama Gate. Turns out Obama Gate is nothing more than another #DearLeader nothing burger. Then you top it all off by getting Democrats to set their hair on fire about Joe Biden making a dumb comment on the Morning show with Charlemagne the god. Joe was never my first, second, or third choice for a Presidential candidate. However he is what we have. For me the alternative is completely un palatable. Comparing what Joe Biden said to watching #DearLeader cause the death of almost a 100,000 people thus far is a no brainer. Particularly when black and brown people have disproportionately been the victims of his ineptitude.
There are alot of things going on around us. Don’t be distracted by bs that doesn’t really mean anything. Pay attention. Whats happening on every level of our federal government should have you asking where the attack on our up coming election will come from. Make no mistake the notion of a free and fair election is under attack. You have to open your eyes to recognize it.
I’m a sheep dog, I will be protecting the flock until the very end. What will you be doing??
