I don’t sugar coat what I say. I give it to you straight with no chaser. President Biden and the Democrats are squarely responsible for the losses suffered yesterday. You can never assume that people know the story without you telling them.
You blew it. You didn’t show the 5 year Olds the story. You allowed the other side to sit on their hands and rely on poking holes in your story. You presented the most aggressive agenda that this country has seen since FDR’s New Deal and you let it flounder. What happened to telling people how many jobs would be created . What happened to describing the new businesses that physical and human infrastructure would bring. You didn’t build the vision of how much better things would be.
You allowed the Republicans to blame you for inflation. From one shore of this country to the others people who should know better are blaming Biden for the increase in oil prices. I know that Biden didn’t create that problem but I do research. Most Americans are totally ignorant to the oil deal brokered by Trump between the UAE and Russia. The price has absolutely nothing to do with inflation and everything to do with corporate greed. You’ve got to tell the story. Prices for goods have gone up. Tell them why. Tell them how Trump tariffs contributed to price increases.
You can’t go back and undo your fumbles. You can stop fumbling. Do whatever it takes to get the voting rights bill passed. Sell the Build Back Better legislation to the people not to legislators who refuse to listen. Jaime Harrison may be a nice guy but he doesn’t spit fire. The DNC needs a fire breathing dragon. Democrats just do it.
