There is no such thing as American exceptionalism. Yes I said it. It’s a lie. Over 70 million Americans took a bite out of the Trump Apple. Yesterday the anti-christ spent more than an hour on stage preaching grievance because his plan to usurp the government failed. Four years of being fed a ceaseless diet of lies takes its toll.

In the year of pandemic Healthcare for the working class has suffered. From day one of the Trump Presidency the ACA was under attack. The rationale was that the anti-christ was going to provide something better. Year 1 nothing. Year 2 nothing. Year three nothing. Year four was suppose to deliver the jackpot. It was always just a couple of weeks from being revealed. It wasn’t revealed prior to the election. It wasn’t delivered after the election because it never Existed. It was just another law. Saying that we are exceptional doesn’t make it so. You have to be willing to put in the work. We just experienced the longest Presidential vacation in the history of the Whitehouse.

Corruption is always waiting at the edge of politics for opportunity. Now we are about to see that corruption play out for former anti-christ appointees. Keep your eyes on the middle east and the deals that anti-christ cronies start to do there. America is not exceptional, far from it.

Exceptionalism requires empathy for the plight of those with the greatest need. That kind of empathy disappeared with FDR AND EISENHOWER. By the end of the Eisenhower Presidency America had completed the turn to a nation completely driven by greed and self gratification.

How do we fix America? The first step is acknowledging that we aren’t exceptional. At best we might be mediocre. That’s going to be a tough but necessary pill to swallow. It flies in the face of everything we want to believe about ourselves. The next 4 years are going to require a vigilance that we aren’t used to. We’re going to have to rethink every aspect of our culture. Education and citizen well being must be the nation’s highest priority. Imagine where we might be if we had spent the last four decades on these priorities rather than growing the culture of greed.

Watching the Republicans at CPAC yesterday let me know the we have a daunting task before us. Democrats and independents must be relentless in slaughtering the beast. We must learn that when you allow evil to slink away from the Battlefield still armed with hate its only a matter of time before it springs back. We have work to do.

THINK!!
EYES WIDE OPEN!!!
