We can all agree that Trump had a terrible week. However I think we’re missing a part of that week that scares him to death.
Trump realizes and to a great extent counts on far too many Americans having the attention span of a gnat. The thing that Trump fears the most is his belief that the media can influence the people. For forty years he used the media to create a persona of Trump the great businessman. The Trump we have been exposed to for forty plus years is a media invention. Trump fears what the media could do to him.
Trump started having a bad week when showtime aired the first installment of The Comey Rule last Sunday evening. Very few of the characters in this movie come off unscathed. We get a very unflattering look at James Comey. Whats more revealing is the look we get at Donald John Trump. In Trumps world Television is the media. It doesn’t matter whether it’s traditional news or a dramatic representation of real events. For someone like Trump if he isn’t the hero for him it’s bad news. The Comey Rule is bad news. It’s a right there in your face depiction of who #BunkerBitchakaDJT really is. It’s frightening for him because it shows him warts and all.
It’s a two part story with the second half of it showing tonight. I’ve got a feeling that it’s not something that Trump wants a lot of people to see. I know I’m going to watch it particularly in light of things that happened today. Wouldn’t it be ironic if a television movie did more to move the dial than all of the people in Washington who are there to protect us.
Donald John Trump is afraid of the media. If you’re not too busy this evening join me in giving him something to be scared about. Incidentally Showtime had considered pulling the program until after the election. Jeff Daniel’s who portrays Jim Comey threatened to boycott any promotion of the film if Showtime delayed its showing. Showtime buckled and the program is being televised.
