So in response to my comment that registering new voter is not enough to overcome massive GOPVvoter suppression campaigns I stirred up a hornets nest. People got really upset. Some even went so far as to accuse me of trying to suppress the vote. I want to assure you that nothing could be further from the truth. On the contrary I was trained that you always go into battle with multiple battle plans so that you can adjust when you need to. We need to adjust. The GOP is no longer afraid of voter registration. They’re developing a legislative agenda to make it irrelevant.

We need an attack plan that they aren’t expecting and one that will have maximum impact in the shortest possible time.

My suggestion is that we stop being consumers. This is the last thing they’re expecting and the thing that causes the greatest pain. When you’re dealing with a bully you give him a bloody nose. Nothing is quite as effective as making him or her see their own blood. In this case the bloody nose is a national economic boycott of companies that produce consumer products and services. I suggest that if we want action we cause the people who can impact the people in Washington some pain. Pain in the form of a national economic boycott of the products and services they provide. If we shutdown the money spigot for the companies that fund our legislators they will cave. If you don’t believe it just think about how Toyota responded to the negative press when they started contributing to Republican candidates again. In less than 30 days they backed down. So we the people put together a national boycott modeled on the Montgomery bus boycott. Buy only essential products and services until the fortune 500 companies take up the mantle of a new voting rights bill and infrastructure bill.

Imagine the automotive manufacturers with holding lots full of cars that they can’t sell. Imagine the cascading impact. Money 💰 is the great motivator for the greedy. The people in charge of Fortune 500 companies are driven by bottoming results. Impact the bottomline and they will respond. Smart people always have a plan B. What’s your plan B.
