One must wonder what thoughts are dancing through William Barr’s head right now. Judge Amy Berman Jackson became his worst nightmare come to life yesterday. When the Barr memorandum is released on the 17th I can only imagine that Barr will be wishing he could make himself invisible.
One as to wonder given the announcement by Judge Jackson if Robert Mueller wishes he had been more direct in detailing the finding of his report. Mueller and old school guy who faithfully believes in the chain of command so chances are he wouldn’t have done anything different. He truly believes in a system that demonstrates on a daily basis that it is irreparably damage. All the king’s men and all the king’s horses can’t put it together again.
Now we a faced with a very vexing dilemma. Donald John Trump committed crimes which he should be indicted for. During the Senate hearing Mueller was asked if Trump could be indicted once his Presidency was over. Mueller unequivocally responded yes. 👍 Now the ball is in Merrick Garland and the Senate’s hands. Garland should launch an immediate investigation of Barr and those involved at the justice department. The Senate should launch a concurrent investigation identify the agencies and individuals who participated in this travesty of justice.
I know that President Biden does not relish the idea of his justice department putting his predecessor on trial. However if this Republic is to have any chance of survival the people must see that no man is above the law. There is more to gain than there is to lose.
Today #MoscowMitch let us Now that he is not interested in working with President Biden or his Democratic Senate colleagues. The Dems should proceed with full speed ahead to at on their agenda. The Republicans have demonstrated that they only intend to obstruct, not to work with the Democrats.
What’s happening all across this country is that Republicans are digging their hills in for a fight. If the Democrats do not respond accordingly 2022 could be a disaster. President Biden were counting on you. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor.
