Recently on more than one occasion I have been labeled “another angry Black man”. I don’t suppose I need to tell you where that label comes from. What they characterize as angry I characterize as tired.
I’ve seen far too much to look the other way. I will not be appeased by the tired worn out phrase that change takes time. How many lifetimes does it take for people to do the right thing? I know better so I do better. I have dedicated what remains of my life to be a catalyst for change. I will not accept any compromise that once again ask that people be content with the pace of change. My grandfather toiled in someone’s fields as a share cropper waiting ✋ for change. My departed father lived 103 years waiting for change. In the twilight of my days I will no longer wait.
If refusing to accept second class citizenship makes me another angry black ⚫ man paint me not just angry but infuriated. Give me an Army of infuriated men who know better and watch what happens. The days of Greenwood and Wilmington are past. So long as I have breathe in my body they will never be whitewashed again.

Bravo from “just another angry black woman.” Interesting that they label us the oppressed as “angry,” but label themselves, the murderous white supremacists and racists, as “patriots.”
