I don’t understand, I just don’t get it. What the hell is wrong with the Democratic messaging machine? If I didn’t know better I would swear that the Democrats are doing everything they can to shoot themselves in the foot.
This morning I attended a workshop where there were both Republicans and Democrats. The usual subjects came up. Once again President Biden got the blame for increased gasoline prices. The truth is that last year during the first quarter gasoline prices were at a new low. That was due to the UAE and Russia flooding the market with oil. They were engaged in a production war. Their production war had a collateral effect on the US shale oil market. Shale oil is more expensive to produce. The only way to make it profitable is to keep oil prices high. Trump needed to find away to protect his fat cat buddies in the oil industry.
He stepped in and brokered a production reduction between the UAE and Russia to drive prices up for American shale producers. He claimed he was doing it to protect US oil producers but the reality was that he was pulling the shale producers fat out of the fire. The big fish win again at the expense of millions of ordinary Joe’s. Oil prices have been on a steady upward trajectory since then. Biden didn’t do this, Trump did. The shutdown of the Keystone pipeline was not a factor in the increase of oil prices. Why don’t the Democrats make this clear??
Biden is taking the heat on the stimulus payment with claims that people Don’t want to work because they got fat on stimulus payments. This just isn’t true. What’s true is that the same people saying they can’t find workers are the same people who don’t want to offer full-time employment or pay a living wage. What’s really happening is that people are waking up. When they see the fat cats joy riding into space while telling them that they should be content being relegated to being modern day serfs they say enough.
When this pandemic became a thing some people were smart enough to realize that there would be a seismic shift in our world. We are experiencing it now. We’re Ina war between the oligarchy and the ordinary Joe’s. I’m betting that in the end the ordinary Joe’s will break this fever of greed and change the world.
Where is the Democratic messaging machine. Half the battle is telling your own story. When you allow someone else to to deliver your narrative it never turns out well.
