There is a multi part documentary on Netflix title Immigration Nation. It’s about how ICE enforces Immigration policy. I find that more often than not I’m ashamed of my country. Immigration Nation had me vacilating between crying and raging.
I served in the USN during the 70’s. At that time the USN still allowed Philippine citizens to serve in the Navy. Until the end of February the USN still allowed Phillipine citizens to serve.
The other branches of the United States military services also allowed non citizens to serve. The entire documentary was disturbing. The arrest and deportation of men wo had served in Viet Nam and up to now was engaging. People who put their lives on the line for this country treated like yesterday’s garbage.
What is wrong with us? It’s engaging because the people demanding these immigration policies are descendants of immigrants themselves. The first thing they want to say is that they need to come legally. I say before you chime in on this mantra examine the history of US immigration policy. It has always been biased in favor of white Anglo Saxons. There have been specific prohibitions regarding almost every other group of people. The huddled masses were never meant to be the brown, black, and yellow people.
Right now we have #BunkerBitchakaDJT sitting in the White House over seeing the most draconian period we’ve ever experienced in immigration policy. For him it’s about keeping this country as White as possible.
In January of 2018 Trump made a statement about suitable countries. Those countries were black, brown, and yellow countries.
The irony of deporting US Veterans who served this nation without reservation while a man who avoided the draft on 5 seperate occasions is a sad commentary on who we are as a nation.
I ask you with sincere humility to please watch this documentary. See what ICE is really doing. Stand up for our deported Vets. Stand up for separated families. Stand up for children being caged and treated like they are less than human.
Nobody is taking American jobs. My home owners association contracts with a landscaping company. I’ve lived in my subdivision for 26 years. In twenty six years the crews that make up the weekly lawn and snow removal teams have been exclusively Latin. The work is superior and not one white person is lining up to do the work.
Just last week I had the carpet on one level of my home replaced. The person who sold us the carpet was white. The crew that installed it was Latin. Nobody is taking American jobs.
#BunkerBitchakaDJT’s wife is an immigrant. She came to this country on an Einstein visa. Do you really buy that bs.
The current immigration policy is a friends and family business. People are getting rich off of it. Every body represents dollars. Time to stop it
