This morning all across this country millions of Americans are waking up to three more cases of driving while black. Some will ask WHY, others will make excuses for the unexcusable behavior of the police.
On Thursday April the 8th HBO began running a 4 part series entitled “Exterminate All The Brutes”. That four part series is relevant to where we find ourselves at this moment. Time after time we see the police have encounters with black citizens that turn out badly. Conversely white mass murderers are taken into custody alive and well. Driven to the local fast food outlet for a meal before they are taken to jail.
The why isn’t so difficult to comprehend. When for hundreds of years one group of people have been the humans and the others have been defined as beast, even Brutes the disparity in treatment is programming. The subliminal message is that its OK to Exterminate those defined as less than human, the Brutes must be dealt with.
Until there is a fundamental recognition of the programming that continues unabated to this day the world 🌎 will treat black life cheaply. That in a nutshell is the why it keeps happening.
