That’s A Part Of History They Don’t Want You To Know. Hawaii was an independent nation until the Hawaiian monarchy w over thrown 1893. It was subsequently annexed by the United States 
. Hawaii had what US business interest wanted so they took it from the people that it belonged to.
Now in case you’re asking yourself how this relates to her not loving me the answer is simple my people like the Native Hawaiian People were victims of American greed. We’re all expendable.
Today many Native Hawaiians are struggling to live in the land of their birth because they’re being priced out. We don’t teach this history in our schools because it doesn’t make us look good. Never the less the story needs to be told.
