It’s 2:00 am and I still can’t get to sleep. The political treachery of today won’t let me find peace. I wonder what’s it going to take for people to say enough is enough.
Tigers don’t change their stripes. Trusting Mith McConnell and Kevin McCarthy to keep their word is like giving your attacker the knife to cut your throat.
The Republicans are playing an all or nothing game and the Democrats keep acting shocked at their unending duplicity. It’s like watching a child play walk a mole and being frustrated by the outcome.
I love the fact that President Biden articulated a policy platform that seeks to uplift the American people. I get the fact that he remembers a time when Democrats and Republicans could find common ground. Those times are gone and the last five years absolutely demonstrate that no matter what the Democrats do they’re not coming back.
Only 35 Republicans saw fit to vote for the January 6th commision. There is a gaggle of traitors among us. They are bound and determined to subjugate and destroy us and far too many of us look the other way. The Republicans are trying to run down the clock leading up to the 2022 mid-term elections and Democrats are worried about the optics of doing something without them.
Here’s the thing. In 1933 German President Paul Von Hindenberg underestimated the treachery that Hitler and the Nazi party were capable. Within the first year of Hitler becoming Germany’s Chancellor ever other political party had been made illegal. In 1934 when Paul Von Hindenburg died Hitler and the Nazi’s were in complete control.
President Biden must let go of the past and actively put a stake in the heart of the Republican Party. If he doesn’t the Republicans fully intend to put a stake through the heart of the Democratic Party and the Republic as we know it. We dither at great risk. You cannot reason with a snake.
