This morning I’ve read all kind of accounts about Michigan’s Lee Chatfield and Mike Shirkey’s visit to the Whitehouse. I’ve read the accounts saying that the two declared after the meeting that they see nothing to change the election results. That statement is a nothing burger if they failed to call Biden the winner.
Much ado was made of the fact that they delivered a letter asking for additional COVID-19 relief for Michigan. When I was attending Law School over four decades ago that would have been described as a red herring. Something not germane to the real purpose but rather a bright and shiney thing to distract you.
On the 20th of November after months of negotiations that went no where is anyone going to convince me that Shirkey and Chatfield expect anyone to buy this malarkey. There is absolutely zero chance that a relief build with additional resources for the states will be passed and signed by a lame duck President before noon on January 20th. I’m not buying it.
After Trumps meeting with Chatfield and Shirkey their images and the words “say Voters Decided and The World is Watching” were visible across the front of Trumps Washington Hotel. Either that was some mafia type behavior or anti Trump supporters acted with remarkable speed. Either way it demonstrates that both factions understand the importance of Michigan’s results. Georgia’s Governor signed off on the states election results yesterday effectively killing any pathway for a legitimate challenge by team Trump.
The desperation flowing from the Whitehouse is palpable. The longer this goes on the more dangerous it becomes. It’s time to take off the kid gloves and do whatever needs to be done. The DNC, Senate, and Congressional Democrats should immediately seek declaratory judgements that barring any substantive evidence to the contrary Joseph Biden is the next President of the United States. By doing so this business can be put to rest and #BunkerBitchakaDJT can focus a 100% of his efforts on keeping himself and his progeny out of jail. Enough is Enough.
