Oh the games people play. We are being bombarded with the mantra that crime is on the increase. They are telling you that cities across the nation are being overwhelmed by a growing crime rate. What better way too stifle the cries for police reform. Brilliantly designed and executed.
What they aren’t telling you is that the crime rate is always impacted by social and economic stress When the number of people who feel that stress grows crime increases. Cracking down on crime with fundamentally addressing the social and economic issues that lead to crime is a fools folly.
Right now we are allowing the people who want to usher in a fascist authoritarian kind of government to thwart the effort to attack this problem. Bidens infrastructure program would create millions of new well paying jobs. It would help to address the disparity in living conditions caused by an ever growing income gap.
The people in Washington are exacerbating the problem by not working on behalf of the electorate. Never mind the benefits that we could gain. They remain more concerned with maintaining tax breaks for people who are already wallowing in money 
. They remain committed to continuing the great steal while the nation crashes and burns 
right in front of our eyes.
Let’s be clear crime is growing because we refuse to address the social and economic issues that have pushed the American populace to the brink. The answer is not more police or tougher laws. The answer is compassion that recognizes that nothing improves until we focus on the welfare of the masses. We need to think critically and stop standing 
around wringing our hands. If we’re serious about addressing growing crime rates we’ll release the pressure that people are under.
