Open your eyes. The Governors election in Virginia is going to be very revealing. The race is up for grabs and could very well hinge on what kind of black voter turnout materializes.
Young people often get underestimated. Dems can do so at their own risk. Young people sat up and paid attention after the death of John Lewis. Many were aware of how he invested the last days of his life on a voting rights bill. That Bill should have been one of the main priorities of the President and the 2021 Legislative bodies. Instead it was allowed to languish and now it appears dead on arrival. Young people were watching. Black women voters were watching.
By midnight tonight Virginia may know who the next Governor will be. With the race so close every vote could be a game changer. Biden wasn’t able to deliver the build back better bill for the Democratic candidate. Once again the Democrats may have to depend on the black vote to be the difference. That being the case they better hope that those black women voters and the young black voters don’t stay at home out of disgust.
Democrats you did this to yourself. This is a self inflicted wound delivered to the party because you catered to the centrist and the “conservative” Democrats. That is not a winning formula.
