Politics does indeed make strange bedfellows. Today Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced what kind of “Justice” Breonna Taylor was going to get. I’ll leave it to you to decide whether the decision was just.

Daniel Cameron is an interesting guy. His ties to Mitch McConnell go all the way back to his graduation from high school. Upon graduation he received a scholarship to the University of Louisville named for none other than Mitch McConnell. From college he went on to attend the Brandeis School of law. After completing law school Cameron clerked for Gregory F. Tatenhoven in the Eastern District of Kentucky. After his clerkship he went on to become #MoscowMitch’s legal counsel. In 2017 he joined the Kentucky law firm of Frost Brown Todd as a senior associate. In January of 2019 he announced his candidacy for Kentucky Attorney General.He defeated his Democratic opponent in November of 2019 and was scheduled to take office in January of 2020. His predecessor Andy Beshear had won the Gubernatorial race in November. He stepped down and on December 17th Cameron was sworn in early.

This story shows the meteoric rise of young Misted Cameron. It gets better. Rumor has it that Young Mister Cameron is on Trumps short list of Supreme Court prospects. If true its beyond astounding. There are a couple of lessons to be taken from this recitation of young Mr. Cameron’s career trajectory.

The first lesson is its what you know but who you know.

The second is that Justice and Law and Order don’t mean Justice and Law and Order. For some of Americas people it means being suppressed by any means necessary.

The third lesson is the all skinfolks ain’t kinfolks.

The final lesson is that politics do in fact make strange bedfellows.
